YOUNG EXPLORERS

Multi-day group ski lessons. For children ages 5–15 with the skiing
experience to match.

Learning together, over several days.

ALTURA Young Explorers are our multi-day group ski lessons for children at Merano 2000. Lessons last three hours per course day. Bookings start at three course days within one course block.

The course is designed for advanced children ages 5–15 and takes place on skis only.

Everyone who teaches at ALTURA completes a training programme in which educational fundamentals are an integral part.

Who the course is for

ALTURA Young Explorers is aimed at advanced children with the skiing experience to match. Age alone is not the deciding factor.

Groups are organised by skiing ability, age and learning pace.

For first experiences on skis, a private lesson is the format that fits. If you are unsure whether the course fits your child, just ask us beforehand.

Small groups, organised by ability

Each group has a maximum of eight children. Groups are kept deliberately small and organised by skiing ability, age and learning pace.

The course runs from four participants. If a group does not come together, we will contact you and look for a solution – subject to availability, also as a private lesson.

How the course runs

ALTURA Young Explorers runs across the whole of the respective course block. Your child does not have to start on the first course day – depending on level and the group situation, joining later is possible too.

We deliberately do without a traditional final race. Organising by skiing ability, age and learning pace remains the guiding principle throughout the course.

Meeting point and what parents should know

Organisationally, the group ski lessons always start at the ALTURA Meeting Point Falzeben, directly in front of the ski school office. As booked or agreed, your child can also join the group that has already started at the ALTURA Meeting Point Piffing and be handed back there after the lesson.

If your child is handed over at the Falzeben ski school office, the instructor accompanies them into the ski area. As the accompanying adult you do not need a ski pass of your own for this.

Please be at the meeting point five to ten minutes before the course starts, and a little earlier on the first course day. Not included in the price: ski pass, equipment, food and drink, and insurance.

Three to six course days can be booked directly online. Longer courses we arrange with you personally.

Prefer to talk to us?

Write to us briefly with how old your child is, how much experience they have and when you are coming. We will agree course days, group and meeting point with you.

While your child is in the course

While your child is out with Young Explorers, you can use the time for a private lesson of your own. ALTURA Signature lasts 90 minutes and can be booked for one to five people.

Whether that lesson can be combined with your child's course time is something we are happy to arrange with you.
