Alternatively, you can also book by email or phone.
After booking, you’ll receive a confirmation with the meeting point and starting time.

Can I change or cancel my booking?

Yes, just let us know as early as possible.
Up to the deadline defined in our terms and conditions (which may vary by season), changes or cancellations are usually free of charge or involve only a small fee.
In case of illness, we will find a fair solution upon presentation of a medical certificate (voucher or replacement date).

What happens in case of bad weather?

Lessons generally take place as planned.
We adapt the content and terrain to the conditions.
Only in cases of official closure or safety concerns will the lesson be postponed or refunded.

Course Formats & Levels

What is the difference between Signature (Private) and Group Courses?

Signature: 90 minutes, 1–5 participants – maximum individual attention, fastest learning progress.
Group Courses: structured learning in small, homogeneous groups – motivating and efficient.

Who is Young Explorers designed for?

Children and teenagers aged 6–15 who already ski parallel.
Held during holiday periods from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., with a minimum booking of 3 consecutive days.
Group size: max. 6 children, ensuring quality and personal guidance.

How are groups formed in ALTURA Young Explorers?

On the first day, groups are divided by age and ability (with a short skills check if necessary).
A change to a more suitable group is possible at any time.

What does ALTURA Explore include?

Full-day excursions to the Dolomites with shuttle transfer, selected slopes, and culinary stops.
For advanced skiers. Group size: 5–8 participants.

What does the ALTURA Academy offer?

Intensive technical training (90 or 180 minutes) with certified ski coaches – optional with video analysis or gate training.
Mainly bookable during the low season.

How big are the groups in group courses?

We deliberately keep our groups small.
Ideal size: 4–8 participants (slightly more during peak holiday weeks). Quality over quantity.

Can siblings or friends join the same group?

Yes, if they have similar skiing ability.
Please mention this request when booking. If levels differ, the stronger child may be placed in the lower group for safety and group balance.

Can I request a specific instructor for a group course?

In group courses, instructor assignment depends on organization and availability.
Requests are welcome, and we will do our best to accommodate them – guaranteed only for private lessons.

Meeting Points & Arrival

When should I arrive?

Please arrive 5–10 minutes before the start at the meeting point.
For your first session, allow a little extra time.

What’s the best way to get there?

You can reach us by the Meran 2000 cable car or by car to Falzeben (parking available).
Public buses operate seasonally. Detailed arrival information and a map link are provided with your booking confirmation.

What if I’m running late?

Please call us or inform the office.
We will coordinate a new meeting point with your ski instructor.

Are there parking options and public transport connections?

Yes. Parking is available directly in Falzeben and at the Naif valley station.
Regular bus lines connect Meran with Falzeben / Meran 2000 cable car (line numbers published seasonally on our website).

Equipment, Clothing & Skipass

Is the skipass included in the course price?

No, skipasses are not included.
Exception for beginners: as long as lessons take place in the practice area, a round-trip cable car ticket is sufficient.
Once lifts are used, a regular skipass is required. For further information and prices, visit Merano 2000.

What should I bring?

Complete ski or snowboard equipment (skis/board, boots, and poles if applicable),
helmet (mandatory for all participants from season 2025/26),
weather-appropriate clothing in layers, ski goggles or sunglasses, and sunscreen.

Where can I rent equipment?

At our partners Rent and Go and Sport Max located at the Falzeben valley station.
We recommend making an online reservation in advance.

Do children need ski poles?

Beginners: no poles.
Advanced children: bring poles if they already know how to use them.
The final decision is made together with the instructor on the first day.

Children, Supervision & Safety

From what age can children participate?

Private lessons: from around 3–4 years.
Group courses: from 6 years (Young Explorers).

Is there a lunch break or supervision?

For half-day and full-day programs, we organize a supervised break or lunch stop in a mountain hut (not included in the course price).
For other course formats, no lunch supervision is provided.

Is wearing a helmet mandatory?

From winter season 2025/2026, wearing a helmet will be legally required in Italy for all skiers and snowboarders.
Violations may result in fines and, in case of repetition, revocation of the skipass.

Can parents watch during the lesson?

Yes, but please keep some distance to avoid distracting the children.
Experience shows that kids learn best when parents are not directly at the practice area.

Is there a final race?
